30 DAYS OF NIGHT 3 TALES

A man came in the shop a few weeks back and started saying that the problem is that there are no good horror comics anymore. I immediately showed him a copy of 30 Days of Night, and said that this is the book all horror fans should be reading.

Written by Steve Niles, and painted by Ben Templsmith, 30 Days of Night tells of a small Alaskan town called Barrow. In the winter time, the sun sets and does not rise again for 30days. In that time the evil comes out and it becomes the vampire hot spot. This is the perfect set up for a vampire story.

Steve Niles writing and characterizations, are superb. Mr. Templesmith's artwork
is beautifully dark, disturbing, and gloomy.

Today a book containing 3 more tales from Barrow arrived. I have it sitting next to me and after the sun goes down, I eagerly await to dive into it.

30 Days of Night is going to be turned into a movie. Anne Rice only wishes that
she had come up with it.

The man who I showed it to, didn't actually buy anything, but I'm thinking he wasn't really looking to. If I really thought he was interested I would have started
blabbing away about another one of my favorites , "The Walking Dead".
