MUST SEE MOVIES OF THE WEEK
Guy Pearce is given a proposition from Captain Stanley. To save his younger brother from the gallows, he has 9 days to kill his older crazy brother. Takes place in 19th century Australian outback, this is the best western since Unforgiven.
14 year old Haley(Ellen Page)meets a 32 year old fashion photographer Patrick Wilson online. She goes to his place to meet him, but whatever his intentions might have been, she soon has him drugged and tied up and has plans of her own.
Some say that to be a great artist, you must lose your mind. Daniel Johnston has always been a creator of art and music, but has been in and out of institutions for his extreme schizophenia. This documentary of Daniels life will make you appreciate his work, as well as realize the demons that have seemed to fill his head. He grew in popularity from popular musicians covering his songs, such as Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and others. See this one at all cost.
Other new releases on DVD tomorrow, Battlestar Galactica season 2.5, Stay Alive, Loverboy, 10th & Wolf, and Stick It. Hope to see you all.

Pride of Baghdad
This is the newest graphic novel from Brian Vaughn, author of Y the Last Man. Based on true events, this shows life in Baghdad through the eyes of 4 lions that escaped from the Baghdad zoo at the start of the U.S. invasion. 3 years in the making, this book ask many questions about liberation, as to whether it is better to die free or to live in captivity. Pride of Baghdad has shown the true emotional capability that can come in a way that only a graphic novel can bring and the heartbreaking reality of wartime, whether it is a just war or not.

Lucky # Sleven
What a movie this is. Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Liu, and Josh Hartnett as Sleven. You can't go wrong with a cast like that and this Quinton Tarontinoesque(I mean that as a good thing) film will hook you from the get go. Josh Hartnett is mistaken for Nick who owes 2 mob bosses a lot of money, Morgan Freeman and Kingsley (The Rabbi), Bruce Willis is a hitman and Lucy liu is a definite distraction. Director Paul McGuign worked with Hartnett a couple years back in Wicker Park. Great styled action, fast witty dialogue, dark humor, and pop culture references make for a great watch. Just when you think that you have this one figured out, it does the Kansas City shuffle on you.
Lucky # Sleven comes in tomorrow as well as Goal, Office seas2, Lower City, Bottoms Up, Are you Scared, Nugget, and Headspace.

Mcfarlane Toys has began producing some of the greatest rock albums of all time into three dimensional art to proudly display on your wall to commemorate these timeless classics. LOST SEAS2 AND DISTRICT B13
Lost Season2 comes in tomorrow. I'm going to have a busy day with this one I'm sure.
Don't ask me to talk about too many movies this week. I've only been watching
District B13(about 8 times so far). You might not think of the French as being
known for their martial arts films, but the adrenalin high that you'll get from
this one is beyond belief.
Set in Paris, 2010, the ghettos are so bad that they are all walled off. The worst of the worst is District B13, run by ruthless crime lord Taha. When Leito, a righteous punk who determines himself to bring Taha down, Taha has Leito's sister kidnapped. Things escalate further when Leito is betrayed and imprisoned and Taha gets in possession of a neutron Bomb.
The action is intense with its own kinetic style. The stunts are performed by the actors without the use of wires, and CGI effects. Fans of the movie Ong-Bak
will undoubtedly embrace the masterwork of Cyril Raffnelli and David Belle.
Come in tomorrow for the French version of Escape from New York. The DVD
also has an English dubbed version for those who prefer.
